R500 robotic capsule and container filler launched
Incorporating Fill2Weight, 3P’s R500,the world’s fastest, gravimetric powder micro-dosing technology fills capsules, containers and devices on the same machine with rapid changeover and scalable, high-speed filling, handling the most difficult and challenging powders, such as spray-dried, cohesive, sticky powders, pure APIs and delicate biologics

Aseptic Micro-Auger technology launched
Launched for precise powder filling and designed to meet increasing demand for high-accuracy in clean and sterile environments.
3P’s Micro auger offers fill weight flexibility and the ability to fill a wide variety of devices including reconstitutable injection devices, vials, cartridges, syringes, inhalers and sachets.

Large purpose built facility in Warwick
Plans announced for a new purpose-built facility to accommodate our next phase of investment and growth. Development started on a new 30,000 square foot development at Tournament Fields near Warwick, ideally situated in the centre of the UK. Completed in November 2018, the new facility houses 3P’s broad skill base of professional engineers across all disciplines and provide increased capacity for multiple repeat machine builds, full commercial productions lines as well as early development labs and pilot plant projects.

R1000 Robotic capsule and device filler launched
The R1000 machine launched. Integrating two of our world-leading Fill2Weight technology heads, it is capable of handling the most challenging powders with the worst flow properties, including spray-dried powders, pure API, micronised, blended and bulk lyophilised powders twice as fast as our R500, whilst maintaining the same level of accuracy and control. Fully automated, GMP compliant and suitable for sterile manufacture.

3P innovation Awarded Queen’s Award 2020 for Enterprise in Innovation
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation was awarded for 3P’s pioneering and patented Fill2Weight technology. Fill2Weight has been designed to address the challenges of getting powders to flow and dispense accurately for pharmaceutical and medical device products. This technology was achieved by combining several different technologies in one solution, creating a highly innovative system, capable of filling practically any powder into a very diverse range of containers.

F2V Liquid Fill-Finish platform launched
3P launched F2V, a liquid fill-finish platform perfect for lab-scale and clinical manufacture thanks to its bench-top format. The technology has been designed for use in both pre-clinical and clinical manufacturing environments, complying with cGMP guidelines and suitable for use in existing containment isolators, RABS and sterile environments. F2V fills cartridges, syringes, vials, bottles and custom containers (including diagnostics) in the same machine, with a fast changeover time of less than five minutes.

3P innovation becomes an Employee-Owned company
Having worked hard to build the business over the last 14 years, founders Tom Bailey and Dave Seaward came to the realisation that our employees, who are responsible for so much of the success of 3P innovation, will be the best successors for ongoing and long-term ownership of the business. The transition to Employee Ownership helps to secure 3P innovation’s long-term future, for the benefit of both customers and employees.

3P innovation become a two-time Queen's Award winner
This latest award is in recognition for British excellence in International Trade, and follows on from our first Queen’s Award for Innovation last year. This 2021 Queen’s Award recognises steady growth in international exports. Our international business strategy has led to the penetration of new markets and a more diversified portfolio of clients, with 40% of new customers between 2017 and 2020 being international.

Awarded a Princess Royal Training Award 2021
We were awarded a Princess Royal Training Award 2021 for our Graduate Development Programme (GDP). Our third Royal award in the last two years!
This award is in recognition of our commitment to the professional development and training of young engineers. Since its launch, the Graduate Development Programme has led to a yearly average revenue growth of 23% and a 16% decrease in staff turnover whilst expanding the skill sets of our graduates and enabling them to excel at their chosen specialism within 3P.

After sustaining continuous growth during the last several years, we've chosen to extend the existing 3P innovation brand to clearly differentiate between our product portfolios. This change will allow us to focus on the three things that make 3P stand out and have allowed such growth. Introducing Pharma Equipment, Custom Automation and Customer Care.

£5M investment on a second purpose-built facility
As 3P innovation have continued to grow over the last few years, this has led to an investment of £5million into an eco-friendly 30,000 sq.ft purpose built facility, taking the 3P premises to a combined total of 60,000 sq ft of both office and workshop space. This move will allow for 3P’s workforce to double in size.
