3P to attend the Parenteral Drug Association's annual conference in November - visit us at booth 90 to see a range of novel dual chamber device technologies and our flexible aseptic powder filling system - Fill2Weight.

In addition to taking booth 90, 3P are pleased to announce that the Parenteral Drug Association have accepted King's College London's publication outlining their joint work together. This reconstitution device development is sponsored by the UK government's Technology Strategy Board (TSB). Having worked on a wide range of injectable devices, 3P have recognised a number of unmet needs with existing reconstitution devices. As a result 3P have developed a range of dual chamber reconstitution technologies and devices. These have been targeted at faster and more consistent mixing (especially for high viscosity materials) and also devices that reduce the cost of goods by reducing supply chain complexity. The work is supported by King's who have been engaged to quantify some of the benefits of 3P's unique reconstitution mixing technology. As a result 3P are now able to quantify enhanced mixing of powder and diluents in dual chamber systems. The system has now been successfully demonstrated at up to 10,000cP viscosities, which is well above any likely injectable application. King's have also developed a test methodology (including a novel sensing system) which has enabled 3P to quantify the benefits of their enhanced mixing system. The system provides faster and more consistent mixing. It can also effectively mix highly viscous materials. King's work and the developed methodology now allows 3P to quantify this for any future application.

In addition to the device technology 3P's booth will also feature the world's most flexible aseptic powder filling system - Fill2Weight. This technology enables formulations to be spray dried or bulk lyophilised in trays prior to precise filling into vials, cartridges and syringes.

3P's Directors, Dr Dave Seaward and Tom Bailey will be pleased to see you at booth 90. King's College London will also be represented by Prof. Luigi (Gino) Martini.
